Jerry Womack's Wild Meadow Handcrafted  BUTTERFLY Electric Spinner  

Wild Meadow's Butterfly Electric Spinner, which is almost silent like unto a butterfly, has an extremely quiet Sieman DC motor which operates on a dual power system of either AC household current and/or DC 12 volt auto current, or, rechargeable battery pack. And like a butterfly, the spinner's flyer wings cast off no measurable vibrations.  The flyer rides in a cushioned, sealed ball bearings for which no maintenance is required except for an occasional light oiling of the shaft between every four for five bobbin changes.  As noted in the photos, the spinner has easily accessible hand operated controls consisting of an on/off switch (instant stop of flyer), a separate reverse switch for spinning or plying, and, a separate variable speed controller switch which provides all speeds from very slow to very fast.  Flyer scotch tension controls the draw-in.  The spinner is handcrafted from choice of solid woods, cherry, ribbon mahogany, curly maple, red oak, walnut or lacewood.  Its ten pound weight is easily portable as noted in the photo below by the spinner's built-in handle.  Two Flyer models are offered, including a mechanical jumbo hook flyer system with flyer hooks on which the spun yarn is, by hand, moved from hook to hook to level the yarn as the bobbin is filled; or, a "Woolee Winder" flyer system is offered which is an automatic yarn winder and yarn leveler system.  The mechanical hook flyer system consists of a Jumbo flyer which uses Ashford bobbins.  An 8-oz and two 4-oz bobbins are included in the price of $798.00 plus applicable tax and S & H.  Three "Wooliee Winder" bobbins are included with the automatic Woolee Winder Flyer System for the price of $949.00 plus tax and S & H.  Additional Woolee Winder bobbins are available for $31.00 each.  Both flyer systems are unconditionally guaranteed with no time limit.
